Gold & Blue, State Tech, Babson University and The Grid
This is a catch up on note tear sheets and recent work. This time last year work slowed a bit and I’m feeling the ability to get caught up on a few things. This being one of them.
This is a portrait of Cheryl Oldham the Vice President of Education and Workforce for the US Chamber of Commerce for Gold & Blue St. Mary’s University. As is usual, there was a limited amour of time to photograph Mrs. Oldham but her assistant Sam Castillo helped out immensely as we hustled around the area to get a handful of options.
StateTech Magazine - Nate Lesser Deputy Director of the National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence.
I was contacted by Babson Magazine to photograph a recent graduate Shaina Silva whom was being featured in an article with other graduates from around the world. As the magazine was co-ordinating shoot all over the place for one article, the Art Director gave me comps and samples from shoots already finished to assist with keeping the aesthetic the same across the board. I lit this with non-gelled strobes. The magazine add them in post. Shaina was great to meet and work with.
Finally, a few weeks ago I was asked to photograph the stage set of the TuneYards at the 930 Club for The Grid Magazine out of Toronto. This isn’t my usual fair but I thought it would be interesting and you never know what might happen. I was squeezed in between Sound Check and setup for the opening act. Not much time but I managed to get what they needed. I cannot imagine trying to memorize what each of these pedals do and which one is which...

Benefits Selling
While back I did a follow up shoot to last years Benefits Selling Broker of the Year Issue 2013. Aaron Davis and his wife were awesome hosts. After winning last year Aaron, with the help of his wife and family undertook a mission to change his lifestyle and eating habits. It was great fun to photograph him a year ago and this time proved no different.
And a couple of outtakes...

Ratchet+Wrench
I’ve never been very good about staying current with posting projects as they get published. So now that the year is half over I’m starting to get things scanned and set up to populate my blog over the next couple of weeks. First up is a project from March that I photographed for Ratchet+Wrench - Cardinal Plaza Shell. This was my second assignment for the magazine and Scott and his crew were very accommodating. This has led to a new client and a great relationship with the owner. In fact I just finished shooting his Service station again for additional shots as well as his staff for his website. I will post some of my favorites from that shoot a a later date as the website has barely gone live.
